What to do in Florence

Firenze... la città del fiore

2. 3 or few more days in Florence

If you stay in Florence 3 or few more days you can do and see so many things even though it's not a big city. It's nice to have a view of Florence from above to see the largeness and the most beutiful buildings.

San Miniato al Monte So you should go to Piazzale Michelangelo and you can even sit at a bar and get a coffee or an icecream.
After that go to San Miniato church.

lanch buffet From Piazzale Michelangelo you can reach the Down Town going down some stairs and you can make stop at "Rifrullo",which is a bar and you can have lunch there. There is a buffet everyday at lunch time.

Santa Croce Now you are 5 min, walking from Santa Croce, so you could visit the church and walk around the square or in 5 min walking you can reach Ponte Vecchio too and then take a walk in Piazza della Signoria full of famouse monuments.

Galleria del Costume If you walked too much the day before and you saw a lot of stuff, you could go to Palazzo Pitti and get the ticket that let you see the costumes's gallery of the Medici family from Florence. It's nice and you don't need to pay too much attention.

Giardino di Boboli Then, with the same ticket you can enter in the "Boboli" garden, which is fabulous especially if you think that it's located in the middle of Down Town.
You can relax there as long as you want, read a book and enjoy tha day.

via Calzaiuoli I suggest you to dedicate a part of a day to walk in those tha are the main streets, via Tornabuoni, via Roma, via Calzaiuoli, via del Corso...and thenhave fun in San Lorenzo market.

italian wine If you like tuscan food and especially you love italian wine let me tell you a nice place to go. From via Calzaiuoli, turn in via dei Tavolini and there you'll see a "Forno" (Cantinetta dei Verrazzano), get inside and ask for a table.

Parco delle Cascine Leave Down Town at least once and take a walk in Viale delle Cascine, it's a green park and every Tuesday morning there is a market, fun and not very turistic.
I hope you have the chance to go there.

Barberino Outlet If some of you love to shop and you are going to spend some days in Florence, then take a bus "Sita" at Santa Maria Novella Station to go to a very big outlet in Barberino.
The bus takes 45 min to get there. You can also get the ticket on the bus, which is easier.

Santa Croce If you're tired of walking and you just need a nice and tipical place where to have dinner, go back to the school in Santa Croce and more specific in Via Ghibellina and you'll have more choices.

Let's go to the Scuola Toscana!
